Mukesh (born Mukesh Babu) is the son of famous stage actor, director and drama troupe organiser, the late O. Madhavan. Mukesh’s mother Vijayakumari was also a popular stage actress and once winner of the Kerala State award for best stage actress. Mukesh, who hails from Pattathanam in Kollam town, did his schooling at Infant Jesus Anglo Indian High School in Thangasseri, and took his Bachelor of Science degree from Sree Narayana College in Kollam. He is also a Law graduate from the Law Academy, Thiruvanathapuram.
